A second Senior Citizens hall was planned during the 1972-1973 year. It was initially hoped that work would commence on 1st July 1973. It took over five years to complete the planning and fundraising and work finally commenced in 1976.
After over five years of hard work and fundraising, the Salisbury Senior Citizens Hall Project was finally completed. The Hall was officially opened by the State Member for Salisbury, Mrs Rosemary Kyburz on 17
th September 1977. The total cost of the Project was $180,000 which included a $30,000 Federal Government Subsidy, a $120,000 State Government Subsidy and the Rotary Club of Salisbury raised over $30,000.
